1.   Front page for the Danish submarine ventilation and decompression
      system.
2.   D.S.V.D.S. means ” Distressed Submarine Ventilation and Decompression
      System.
3.   The submarine ventilation system has always been laid up under the 5 th.
      Squadron on naval station Copenhagen.
4.   The system was very old and have never worked after the intention, and no
trial to renew the system were ever undertaken.
5.   No one in the 5 th. Squadron and on the Navel Materiel Command
believed it was possible to make a usable and effective submarine
      ventilation system.
6.   This was the reason why only very few Submarine ventilation exercises
      took place.
7.   When the 5 th. Squadron left Copenhagen some years ago, the old
Submarine ventilation system was transfered to the Diving School.
8.   The Diving School was permissioned to build up a new system with some
restrictions load down by the 5 th. Squadron and the Navel Materiel
     Command.
